Nottingham City Council is currently recruiting for Link Workers within its Short Breaks team.

The role involves working as part of the team to help children and young people with disabilities to access various opportunities in a supportive fashion.

It’s exciting work which gives you the opportunity to build fantastic relationships with children and young people and become an integral part of their development and growth.

This role is part time and involves  working 18.5 hours per week (mainly weekends and occasionally evenings)  and includes  access to a mass of training and development opportunities.

The Short Breaks teams says it’s looking for people who have experience of supporting children and adults with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex health needs.

However, while experience is an essential criteria the councils says it is more than happy to consider people with the transferable skills who are keen to develop into a great Link Worker.

Salaries start at £20,661 (Pro Rata) and Applications are open now.
