Get Help With Preparing For Adulthood This Saturday

A free event taking place this weekend for young people with additional needs and their families aims to put them in touch with the services and organisations available to support with the move to adulthood.

The Preparing For Adulthood Family Information Event is organised by Nottinghamshire County Council's Integrated Children's Disability Service and takes place from 10am until 2pm this Saturday (6th May) at Harvey Hadden Stadium, Bilborough Park, Wigman Road, Nottingham (NG8 4PB).
 
A range of people will be available to talk to at the event, including:
  • Mainstream Colleges
  • Specialist Colleges
  • Adult Overnight Short Breaks Services
  • Information, Advice and Guidance Searches.
  • Wiki Workshops - Set up a Wiki on the day!
  • Community Short Break Providers
  • Nottinghamshire Participation Hub
  • NCC Transitions Team
  • Welfare Rights
  • Career Advice and Apprenticeships
  • Independent Travel Training
  • Sports, Leisure and Community Opportunities
  • Information Regarding Supported Employment
  • Skills for Employment

And if all that wasn't enough they'll also be the chance to roll up your sleeves and get involved in sporting and art workshops on the day!
