An innovative theatre experience next month aims to transport young people with autism and their families into space for the day!

Moon Song is specifically designed to cater to children on the autistic spectrum and takes place at the Bonington Theatre, Arnold, on 23rd August from 10.30pm to 3:30pm.

It focuses on an adventure to the planet Ventoe – where visitors crash a rocket, meet the mean character Toe Rag and fight their way to the top of a volcano to gather the fuel to get back home!

The free event is hosted by the Bamboozle Theatre Company and blends relaxing music with an open performance space and multi sensory areas for participants to explore as they choose.

Although it’s aimed at the 7-15 age range it’s been designed to accommodate a wide range of abilities,  with participants able to wander within the space and engage in their own time.

Places are limited, so if space is the place for you get in touch with Development Worker Laura Guthrie  on 0116 255 2065 / 07939 220983 or via Email at [email protected] before next Friday (4th August).

The event is supported by Nottinghamshire County Council and D’Oyly Carte
