25th August 2017

An event next month hopes to help carers who may have questions regarding their child’s undiagnosed genetic condition.

The event is organised by Syndromes Without a Name (SWAN) and will help those caring for children who:

  • Have global development delay or unexplained learning/physical difficulties
  • Have had genetic tests come back negative or had results of unknown clinical significance.
  • Are taking part in genetic research such as Deciphering Developmental Disorders (DDD) or the 100,000 Genomes Project

it takes place at the Hemsley Rooms in the Campus of Nottingham University on September 20th from 10am until 2pm.

Speakers include parents and researchers from the university and talks will cover all aspects of genetic testing and diagnosis and the experience of raising a child with an undiagnosed genetic condition.

Places are free but you must book your place by emailing [email protected] or calling 0207 8310883.
