A Place to Call Our Own (APTCOO)

A registered charity providing a safe and accessible place for children and young people with a disability and their carers and families. Provide one to one phone and email support for parents and carers, information, sensory room and sensory toy library. Range of support groups including Aspergers, autism and ADHD. Coffee mornings fortnightly on Tuesdays 10am–12pm Down’s syndrome coffee morning monthly on Thursdays 10am–12pm. Family play sessions morning and afternoon every Wednesday during school holidays. Support groups in Newark and Kirkby (see later in this section). Mosaic under 5’s group every Monday 12.30–3pm. Saturday Circles 10am–12pm (meet other children and parents in a relaxed setting).
